Danesfield FM Podcast
Danesfield FM Podcast is our completely student led school podcast, created, produced, and presented by pupils. Each week, students take full ownership of planning and delivering an engaging broadcast that is shared with the whole school every Monday morning.
The podcast features a rotating line up of guest speakers, pupil and teacher interviews, and important whole school updates. These include key information such as:
- Which Forest School week it is.
- The weekly weather.
- Clubs available to different year groups.
- Present and upcoming whole-school initiatives.
- Joke of the week
The Podcast has become an exciting and reliable way for our community to start the week informed and connected.
Why our podcast matters to us?
Danesfield FM Podcast is much more than a broadcast - it is a powerful example of pupil voice in action. By leading every aspect of the podcast, students develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and creativity. They learn how to plan content, speak clearly to an audience, ask thoughtful questions, and take responsibility for delivering accurate information to the whole school.
Most importantly, the podcast gives pupils a genuine platform to be heard. It empowers them to shape how information is shared, celebrate achievements, and contribute wonderfully to school life. We are so proud of our children who have launched the Danesfield FM Podcast and are excited to see how it continues to grow.
